I noticed that myself and was confused as well when I first installed it. I believe that number tracks how many Anyconnect Premium licenses that are available (i.e. the two "teaser" licenses they include for free).

The fact that you have effectively unlimited Anyconnect Essentials licenses is indicated in "show version" under Anyconnect Essentials "Enabled":

Licensed features for this platform:
Maximum Physical Interfaces : Unlimited
Maximum VLANs : 100
Inside Hosts : Unlimited
Failover : Active/Active
VPN-DES : Enabled
VPN-3DES-AES : Enabled
Security Contexts : 2
GTP/GPRS : Disabled
SSL VPN Peers : 2
Total VPN Peers : 250
Shared License : Disabled
AnyConnect for Mobile : Disabled
AnyConnect for Linksys phone : Disabled
AnyConnect Essentials : Enabled
Advanced Endpoint Assessment : Disabled
UC Phone Proxy Sessions : 2
Total UC Proxy Sessions : 2
Botnet Traffic Filter : Disabled

Hopefully they will make this more clear in future versions. ;-)

So I got the Anyconnect Essentials loaded onto my ASA with 8.2. Pretty cool!

One thing worth noting is that the output for "SSL VPN Peers" from "show version" remains at two, even though the limit is upped to 250 (for a 5510). At least it did on mine. I tested with a number of concurrent users, and the limit surely isn't two. Maybe it's a bug in 8.2.

Not fair! Mine is still stuck somewhere in the machine that is Cisco... Of course you ordered your license code before me. I am on the 8.2 code already, I just need the key. I have been using the AnyConnect client for a while now so that's not new, just the ability to have more than 2 users will be nice.

Nice one, Eric!

I've emailed my Cisco rep in hopes of snagging that license. I'm stoked!
