		<description>On that query to ns1.dreamhost.com that resulted in the &quot;aa&quot; flag being set indeed that server does feel that it is authoratative for the domain bitplumber.net, however, it is possible that the root servers are pointing queries for bitplumber.net to some other DNS server in the world so you must verify the full path to be certain that resolution will work properly.

Actually, the aa flag stands for Authoritative answer, so thats all you really need to know right there, instead of TTL. (or so I&#039;ve read, and I&#039;ve only seen it on the authoritative dns server for a domain, so it looks right.) I&#039;m a Dig &amp; DNS newbie though, so don&#039;t take my word for that....</description>
